Happy Father's Day

When I was a little girl in Korea, my mom once said to me, "If you ever get lost in a public place, stop and look up for your dad." My dad, at 6'2", was about a head taller than most people in Korea. It would be easy to find him in a crowded area.

I could go on and on about my dad - how he's one of the most honest men I know. How he always tried to do the right thing for his family. How he shaped my view of how a husband and father should be. But if we're lucky, we all feel this way about our dads. So I'll just post some of my favorite photos of my dad, and wish all the fathers out there a Happy Father's Day!

Handsome Dad, we called him a Korean Elvis :)

The Korean tradition is an exchange of a watch, which means giving the gift of time.

  4. Anne, I got a little teary-eyed...this was so sweet and I feel the same way about my father. Your dad was so handsome and the story about how you could always find him in a crowd was so special. When I was young, I remember thinking as we drove through a storm on the east coast that I was safe because my dad was there. :) I also love the Korean tradition of exchanging watches... how symbolic & beautiful to give the gift of time. This was a beautiful post.
